Pour son nouveau projet Giovanni Mirabassi réunit un quartet explosif : le volcanique Guillaume Perret au saxophone, qui laisse ici loop et ampli de côté pour présenter un jeu exclusivement acoustique, le jeune talent Clément Daldosso à la contrebasse et l’excellent Lukmil Perez à la batterie. Avec ce nouvel album, intitulé “The Swan and the Storm”, Giovanni Mirabassi travaille avec Guillaume Perret l’intensité d’un dialogue entre piano et saxophone. Entre toucher lyrique et souffle hypnotique, poésie et orage, Apollon et Dionysos, Giovanni Mirabassi compose un répertoire original inspiré par les bouleversements d'une époque incertaine.

 

For his new project Giovanni Mirabassi brings together an explosive quartet: the volcanic Guillaume Perret on saxophone, who here leaves loop and amp aside to present an exclusively acoustic game, the young talent Clément Daldosso on double bass and the excellent Lukmil Perez on drums . With this new album, entitled “The Swan and the Storm”, Giovanni Mirabassi works with Guillaume Perret on the intensity of a dialogue between piano and saxophone. Between lyrical touch and hypnotic breath, poetry and storm, Apollo and Dionysos, Giovanni Mirabassi composes an original repertoire inspired by the upheavals of an uncertain era.
